Course Overview


In our Culinary Foundations Course, students learn the fundamental techniques and principles of cooking. The class will cover topics such as knife skills, flavor profiles, cooking methods, and kitchen safety and sanitation. Students will be introduced to common kitchen tools and equipment, as well as basic cooking terminology. They will learn how to properly measure ingredients and follow recipes, as well as how to make basic sauces and dressings. By the end of the class, students will have gained a solid foundation in cooking skills and be able to confidently prepare a variety of simple meals on their own.
